Toughest, Rugged, Weatherproof Compact Camera - Optio WG1 GPS from Pentax
Pentax Optio WG1 GPS
Pentax Optio WG1 GPS - The toughest Compact Camera Ever
I used to be a fan of point and shoot compact cameras. I started from a Kodak then finally to a Sony H50. Then I shifted to the digital SLR (DSLR) scene and chose the Pentax line of dslr's. Why? Shoot with a Pentax and you'll now why.
Now I bring my DSLR wherever I go. But there are time when I wished I was just carrying a simple point and shoot. That way I get to carry more water, more food and get farther with my endurance and strength. Even the lightest DSLR (*surprise - A Pentax*) cannot compare to the weight of a compact camera.
It doesn't go well on the mind when you tote your DSLR while hanging on a rock wall. Sometimes you get to thinking - "God let me fall instead of my camera". But like a DSLR you can't just bring any camera into adventures into great unknown. you've got to take measures in protecting your "investment".
For a time now, I've been thinking of getting a backup camera. This time a point and shoot that can withstand anything mother Earth can throw. That means having all he "Proof" under it's name.
Only PENTAX can deliver that kind of digital compact camera.
So if you're thinking of buying a Weatherproof Compact Camera soon. I advise waiting for April when the Pentax Optio WG1 is released. Your going to regret it if you fall for the second rate rugged cameras of Fuji, Sony and Canon... Well you know what I mean.
